Applying / Approvals / Conditions explained
Begin by applying for a new application. Option 1A is for all private or consumer lending. Option 1B is for companies, Trusts and Partnerships.
You will always need a signed finance quote to complete this step. If the customer is new to Honda Financial Services you will need a signed application for credit and supporting documents (proof of address, proof of income, copied of the front AND the back of the NZ drivers license).
We aim to turn around applications in 60mins for an application Monday to Friday 9am to 4pm. Outside of these hours. You will be notified by email when the application has been picked up by a team member and again of the outcome of the application. You will be issued a 9-10 digit "approval ID" this number helps us track your customers application so hold onto that email and the corresponding number.
If we cannot approve your customer with the information required we will generally ask for some "supporting docs" such as the partner to fill in an application for credit to help affordability (the cashflow to pay for the contract) or copies of the Visa they are on etc. You will receive an email outlining what we need.
Use Option 2 to upload the documents that were requested an this puts your application back into the approval "que". You will need your 9-10 digit approval ID in order to accomplish this.
Requesting Posting and Contracts
Using Option 3 you can request us to post the sale of the car and also issue the delivery documents. Again you will need your 9-10 digit application ID. The car must be registered and for leases all MAINTAINED leases must have the lease ID number entered on the MR2A (The NZTA document used to 1st register a car).
We HIGHLY recommend you use the E-Docs system for signing contracts. This method allows us to send your customers contract to them directly a few days before delivery of the car. They sign them from any personal device (laptop, PC, Smartphone or tablet). You can then delivery the car without having to worry about missing something.
You MUST get a copy of the customers insurance and Honda Financial Services MUST be noted as an interested party. This is the most common reason we cannot get a loan or lease contract activated and leads to lots of negative outcomes for you and the customer.
Submitting contracts
Once your customer has signed any paper documents (again request the E-Doc and skip this step all together). You need to upload copies of the contract to us. A team member will then review that all the signatures are in the correct place and signed by the correct people. If they are incorrect we will notify you directly. If they pass we will also notify you.
Once you receive notification that the docs are correct you MUST send us the original copies of the contracts. These are required for a variety of reasons including fraud investigations in the future. Without the originals your dealership will not be paid for the sale of the car. Its a big deal
Skip it!, if you elect to use E-Docs for signing all this is skipped. Customers feedback is they really like the newer process so give it a try. The trees will thank you for it and your cortisol levels are guaranteed to drop!
